The moment of the season everyone's been waiting for finally came. All the hard work the last 9 months is finally showing and the everyone plans to make their print in history. The team was ready physically and mentally and overall we had a outstanding performance with both the men's and the women's taking third place. Those are the best places in school history, and considering that there are 5 teams in the top 25 of the country in our conference, that stated a lot for the program. The meet was paced by our superb junior Omar Lane who single handily dominated in the sprints sweeping the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and the 4x1 meter relay took 2nd. Omar scored 22 points which was huge for the team. I been watching him grow since a freshman considering he was my teammate and it makes me really proud of his performances. Other good performances came from Wilner Marcelin taking 2nd place in the 110 high hurdles. On the women's side, Sophomore Brittany Darby brought home 2nd place in the 100 meter dash and 4 in the 200. Taylor Deskins took 3rd in the 200 meter dash. Our women's relay also took 2nd. It was an overall great experience to be apart of and hang around my friends and mentors. Proud day to be a dragon.
