Great weekend from the team this week. We had a few of the men go to the Armory in NYC and the rest of the team competed at the D2 challenge in Spire Institute. All week Coach Tate stressed the fact of everyone being patient with the workouts and let the cycle take control of the body. During this part of the season it is vital that everyone gets the necessary rest and eat healthy of the competition peaking cycle wont take full effect. Some of the athletes were complaining about their times from the previous work and not having a lot of speed workouts. For the most part, the team had a strong showing. There were a few PR's in the sprints and consistent times in the hurdles. Coach Tate told me that these meets are not really important. They are just test to prepare for the conference and nationals. Just gotta stay healthy and consistent.
